Seal Beach had a local win this past month. On September 19th, the Long Beach Triathalon occurred and some local businesses were represented by a relay team:
• Brandon Bennington a sophomore at Los Alamitos high school and junior
mechanic at Main Street Cyclery swam the ½ mile,
• Julio Castillo of Main Street Cyclery cycled the 11 miles, and
• Scott Goodman of Bay Hardware ran the 3 miles to finish up the race.
As a result of their teamwork, they won the relay division of the triathlon with a time of 1 hour 2 minutes, They beat the second place finishing relay team by over six minutes. Congratulations to the Seal Beach guys!
